Seunghyun~~
All Shacked Up
********************************************
“I’ll come pick you up in,” she looked at her
wristwatch, “2 hours?”
I nodded. “Alright”
She nodded right back and gave me a little wave
as she climbed back up on the driver’s seat. She rolls down the window and
said, “I’m sorry about this but the landlady said that this is the only time
she’s available to show me the place.”
“Don’t worry.” I waved away her concern.
“They’ll do the interview here in YG building and just take some pictures. No
big deal.”
She was
biting her bottom lip and was obviously distressed at leaving me on my own. One
thing that I’ve realized all these days working with Park, she definitely takes
her job seriously.
“Go on. You’ll be late.”
“Thanks! I’ll be back as soon as I can.” She
then expertly drove away in the company van.
We had a very busy morning and we just came from
2 separate interviews as part of my promotion for my movie “The Commitment”. For
my last interview today, Entertainment Relay wants to shoot some scenes with me
inside YG building and they even got YG himself to give a short interview about
me as the company’s top actor.
I worry about that a bit. Knowing our president,
he can be a little mean and honest that he doesn’t filter what he says. I can
only hope that he’s only going to say good things.
An hour and a half later, the interview was done
and I joined the staffs of ER who are enjoying the lunch treat at the famous YG
cafeteria, when I received a text message from Park. She said that she’s on her
way back.
It was only then that I belatedly realized that
its way past lunchtime and Park hasn’t eaten yet.
I excused myself and dialed her number.
“How did it go?” I asked.
I heard her sigh. “It wasn’t what I was looking
for. The place was too small and it’s across a busy intersection.”
“I see. Oh well, I’m sure you’ll find a better
one.”
“I don’t have the time” she whined. “I’m afraid
I’ll have to turn down the newlywed’s generous offer …”
“I thought you’re going to see another one tomorrow?”
“Yeah, hopefully the last one.”
There was a moment of silence. “Have you eaten?”
I asked.
“Nope. I was hoping to eat there. I’ve missed
ahjumma’s cooking.”
“Alright. Drive safely.”
“How was the interview?” she inquired.
“Good.” I answered. “Listen, concentrate on
driving and call me after you’re eating okay? I’ll just hang around Tablo’s
recording room. He said that he wanted to feature me on a song in their
upcoming album.”
“Really?” Park’s voice sounded incredulous.
“Ya! Is that so hard to imagine? I thought you
said I was a good rapper.”
“You are” she assured. “I just didn’t think that
you would agree. I thought you said goodbye to the music industry for good.”
“I never said that” I countered. “But it still
depends if it’s a good song … then maybe … It’s just a featuring anyway. No big
deal.” I could hear the sound of horns. “Concentrate on driving. See you
later.”
I hang up and looked for Tablo.
**********************************
I was surprised to see the people inside Tablo’s
recording studio. His cute, little daughter Haru was there, the rest of Epik
High and G-dragon. I greeted the hyungs first, attempted to kiss Haru but she
wouldn’t let me and did a fist bump with GD.
“I thought you were in New York or somewhere in
Europe” I said to him.
“Paris. Just flew in this morning and went
straight here because there’s this melody in my head that I think will be
perfect for an Epik High song.”
If there’s one thing that I’m jealous of Jiyong,
it’s his ability to conjure melodies and lyrics like its not hard at all. To
him, writing songs is as easy as taking a walk in the park.
“Is that so? I’m sure it’s going to another
hit.”
“Thanks, man.” He clapped me lightly on the
shoulder. “I heard hyung finally made you agree to feature in one of the
songs.”
“I’m still thinking on it … I don’t want to ruin
their album.”
“What are you saying?” Tablo rose from his chair
and handed me two sheets of paper. “Those are the lyrics. I’m still finalizing
the melody, though …”
I read through the print-out and was satisfied.
“As usual, hyung. You’re a great lyricist.”
He waved away my compliment. “Just say you’ll do
it.”
I rubbed the back of my nape. “I may be rusty …
it’s been too long …”
“Nonsense …”
The hyungs convinced me so I said yes. I stayed
and watched them while they worked and gave out different suggestions and
arrangements. I realized that I missed this. The creative process in making an
album is the best part. Sometimes, they would ask me what I think and gave my
feedback. I smiled. Yes, I definitely missed this.
After a while, I heard my phone ringing. It’s
Park. “Hey” I answered.
“I’m done eating” she answered. “Are you still
with Tablo oppa?”
“Yes, were almost done.”
“Alright” she paused, “I hear a child. Is that
Haru?”
I looked at the young girl playing around the
recording room. “Yes, Haru’s here.” She stopped running around and walked right
next to me when she heard me say her name. I tried to pinch her nose but she
swatted my hand.
“Really?” Park said, sounding happy. “I’ll be
right up. I haven’t seen her for the longest time.”
She hanged up before I could say anything more.
I pulled Haru to sit on my lap then I noticed
Jiyong picking up his backpack and slung his jacket over his shoulder.
“I’m beat,” he gave a huge yawn. “I’ll come back
tomorrow hyungs. I need to sleep.”
He waved goodbye to all of us and even managed
to get a kiss from Haru and went out the door.
“Who’s that?” asked Haru pointing to my phone.
“Ah, my manager. You remember Park? Sandara unnie?”
Haru shakes her head.
“Dara’s coming?” asked Tablo.
I nodded.
“Good timing that GD’s gone home then” he stated
offhandedly.
My eyes went wide. Why didn’t I think of that? I
immediately set Haru on her feet and stood. “I’ll be right back” I said to no
one in particular and hurried out of the room.
I dialed Park’s number and she answered on the
second ring.
“Where are you?” I demanded.
“I told you” Park answered. “Are you in a hurry
to see me?” she teased.
“Don’t come up” I said.
“What?”
“Stay in the cafeteria.”
“But I’m already-“ I heard some static
“…elevator …” The call dropped.
I muffled a curse. I jogged towards the
elevators but I was too late.
I see Jiyong standing, waiting in front of the
two elevators. I was still several feet away, opposite the hallway where he is.
I could only hope that they’d miss each other. But it wasn’t meant to be.
Within the next few seconds, I see the elevator
on the right opening. Park was the only passenger.
I could see clearly from where I was that she
was shocked to find GD standing in front of her. From what I can see, he
appeared to be surprised as well. He was suddenly standing rigidly. It was a complete
stand still as they stare at each other. Neither were moving or saying
anything. I willed Park to move but she looked like a deer caught in the
headlights.
I quickly pressed 3 on my speed dial. The
ringtone must have jarred Park into motion because it tore her gaze from GD to
the phone in her hand. GD was able to collect himself as well as he made a grab
at one of the elevator doors and prevented it from closing.
I see Park putting the phone close to her ear
and I could hear her breathing, but she stayed silent.
“Come quickly” I barked into the mouthpiece. She
gave a little jump, glanced at the phone and took a step forward.
GD sidestepped to let her pass and when she was
fully out of the elevator, he walked right in.
I could hear Park breathing hard. I see the
elevator closing and for a moment, I thought she would walk back in it to join
him. But she didn’t. She stayed immobile, standing, staring at the closed
elevator doors.
“Park.” I called. “Park?”
“Y-yeah?” her voice coming out shaky.
“Are you okay?”
“Um, I … I think I ate too fast. My stomach’s
aching … I’m going to the ladies room first …”
“Alright” I breathed. “Take your time.”
I watch her watch the elevator. She stood there
for maybe a full minute. I wonder if she’s debating on running after him or
hoping GD will come right back up. Finally, with drooped shoulders, she began
to walk. She didn’t notice me as she crossed the hall while busily wiping the
tears on her face.
**************************
Park showed up after 15 minutes. By that time,
the occupants in the room have grown.
I found Taeyang, Bom and Seungri when I went
back Tablo’s rec room. It turns out that Seungri is reminding everyone that
it’s his birthday celebration in tomorrow and attendance is a must.
He grabbed a hold on Park when he saw her and
didn’t let go until she said yes. “I thought I’m your favorite maknae?” He
tried to look pitiful and batted his eyes.
“Stop that” I growled “you look annoying.”
Everyone in YG knows that Seungri and I have a
love-hate relationship. First, it’s because we share the same name. Because I
am the hyung, he had to change his name to Seungri although we debuted almost
at the same time, me as a rapper and him as an idol. He is also an aspiring
actor. He was very vocal that he should be the face of YG and not me. His
self-confidence is something you’d either love or hate. I admit he’s funny so
when he says things that inflates his own ego, people take it as a grain of
salt and laugh it off.
“If you don’t want to go, I won’t force you”
Seungri said, looking at me, “but Dara must absolutely come.” He draped his arm
around her tiny frame and clung like a koala. “Please please please please
pleazzzzz?”
Park laughed and held her hands up in defeat.
“Alright, alright. But only for a short time … Seunghyun has to go to the premier
of his movie the next night.”
“We all do.” Said Bom. “The whole YG family will
be there.”
“I bet it’s going to be a blockbuster, man” said
Taeyang. “I can’t wait to see it.”
“Thanks, man” I said.
“Seunghyun?” called Bom. “Can I borrow Dara
tomorrow?”
Park looked at her, brows showing her confusion.
“We’re going to the party together” Bom smiled
at her. “I need to get my nails done and hair treatment so you,” pulling Park
next to her, “are going to come with me for a girl’s pampering day.”
“Bom, I really shouldn’t. Seunghyun has a
schedule in the morning and I-“
“It’s fine” I cut in. “Don’t worry, it’s just
another interview. I’ll ask my driver to pick me up. Go and do what girls do
with Bom.”
“Are you sure?” Park asked.
I nodded. I figured, she could take a break and
relax even for a day. She looked tired.
“Yey!” Bom clapped her hands excitedly. “We’ll
go shop for a dress as well.”
“I have to see an apartment first so I’ll see
you before lunch?” Park told Bom. They made their plans as they walked and sat
on the couch, with Haru sandwiched between them.
I directed my attention to the rest of the guys
just as I heard Seungri complaining why GD and I are going to be featured in
Epik High’s album and why he’s not included.
********************************
I originally planned not to go to the party but
changed my mind at the last minute.
The club was exclusive for Seungri’s birthday
and no reporters were allowed inside. If there’s one thing Seungri is the best
at, it’s throwing parties where different celebrities can mingle together and
no embarrassing photos will come out the next day.
The party was well under way when I arrived and
I made a beeline over to where Daesung is sitting. He is the best balladeer in
YG and he just came from a very successful concert tour in Japan. He is also
the closest person to me from YG. We shook hands as greeting because we’re
formal that way. He and I get along really well because unlike the rest of the
people in YG, we are not known to party hard and prefer to stay quiet and under
the media’s radar whenever we can.
I looked around and see a lot of familiar faces.
Teayang and Seungri are already out on the dance floor doing a showdown. Teddy
is spinning and busy doing DJ duties. GD and CL are also here surrounded by Xin
and the rest of GD’s crew.
I briefly wondered if Park saw them and decided
to go home that’s why she’s not here. “Have you seen Bom?” I asked Daesung.
“Nope, I haven’t” he answered.
I drink on my beer and worry. Maybe they won’t
come. Which is good. She might just burst out crying and embarrass herself when
she sees them.
I sit back and enjoy the music. Occasionally, I
notice different women glancing my way and giving me the look. Quick hookups
and one night stands are not very uncommon in our world. You’d be amazed at the
stories that celebrities can tell. But since we all move in a small world, we
keep our secrets and thereby protect each other. Very few things remain unknown
amongst us. Even me, who seldom mingle in parties, still get to hear deep,
dark, juicy accounts that the media would certainly go crazy for.
I am feeling a little restless but I’ve no wish
for company in my bed tonight. Besides, a have a premier night to attend to
tomorrow. Best to get some ample breast - I mean, rest … Jesus!
My eyes are staring at Park Bom as she made her
entrance and started climbing up the stairs where the VIP tables are. Her
little red dress leaves nothing to the imagination as it hugs her every curve
and was very, very short to showcase her flawless legs.
“Bom!” greeted Daesung, standing up to give her
a quick hug. “What are you wearing? Is that even legal?” He added
disapprovingly. Daesung is the most conservative guy I know.
“Leave me be” Bom said with a laugh. She took a
seat beside Dae. “You sound like Dara.”
At that, I stirred from my seat. Behind her
comes a petite black haired girl, wearing what looks like a wrap around little
black dress held only by huge safety pin with a slit to show her tiny waist. It
took me a while to realize that it’s Park. She shyly bowed to greet us and
proceeded to take a seat beside me.
“You look
beautiful” praised Dae. “It’s the first time that I’m seeing you dressed like
that.”
“Thank you.” Park fluttered her eyelids and gave
a small smile on her bloody red lips. She then turned to look at me.
“You dyed your hair” was all I can say.
She brushed her fingers through her hair. “Yeah,
well …” she then proceeded to fiddle the hem of her dress.
“Noona!” Seungri’s loud, boisterous voice came.
Bom gave him a big hug as he lecherously stared at her cleavage. If it was
anybody else, it would have been offensive but it was Seungri so Bom laughed
him off. Taeyang peeled him off Bom and took the seat beside her. Noticing
Dara, he gave a frown. “Who are you and what have you done to my Dara noona?”
Park laughed and stood up, handing Seungri her
gift. “Happy birthday!”
Seungri pulled her into a tight hug that I was
sure broke a couple of her bones in her tiny frame.
“A gift for me?” He sounded like a little kid. I
don’t know why but he always acts cute when he’s with Park.
“Open it” Park said.
Seungri motioned her to sit down and she scooted
closer to me in the circular couch to make room for him. A red jacket emerged
from the box and Seungri squealed like a little girl. “Noona!” he grabbed Park
for a hug again. “I love it! Did you make this yourself?”
Park nodded.
“Let me see” Bom demanded, extending her hand.
The others started inspecting the jacket, too. I
can see that Park has designed a panda at the back with Swarovski crystals.
“I want one, too” Bom cried.
“Make me one, too” said Daesung.
Park laughed. “I will, when I have time. It took
me a month to finish that.”
Seungri wiped away fake tears. “I’m so touched. I
didn’t know I’m that special to you.”
“You know I promised to make you one when you
saw the one I made for Ji-“she stopped, “uhm, made. So there. I’m keeping my
promise.”
Seungri hugged her again and steals a kiss on
her cheek to Park’s surprise.
I was tempted to throw him my beer bottle. Maybe
it’s time to set him right. People have allowed him too many liberties with his
childlike personality.
“I’m going to wear it.” Seungri peeled off his Versace
jacket and put on Park’s gift. “It fits perfectly!”
Park smiled in contentment. “I’m glad you like
it.”
“Now, I just need one more thing to make this
birthday perfect” Seungri declared. “Dance with me, noona?”
Park looked at his outstretched hand. Making a
decision, she stands and let Seungri lead her down to the dance floor. Bom and
Taeyang and even Daesung followed them.
I ordered another beer while I watch them bump
and grind and be the center of attention.
**************************
Pak came back a few minutes later with sheen of
perspiration on her face. “Whew!” she exclaimed as she sat down. “My feet are
killing me.” She then took off her stilettos with heels that looked to be about
5 inches tall.
“I can’t believe they allow women to wear those
weapons” I muttered.
Park gave me an amused brow. “Why? Have you had
an experience with a flying stiletto?”
“No.” I shuddered. “I meant it’s more dangerous
for you. Just look at it. It’s a wonder you haven’t fallen down and break your
neck.”
“It’s a price women pay to look good” she
quipped.
A waiter arrived and handed her a pink
margarita. “Thank you” Park smiled, making the waiter stare at her as if in a
spell.
“I’d like a bottle of Jack.” I clicked my
fingers to get his attention.
Park frowned. “A bottle?”
“Do you doubt my ability to hold my liquor?”
She paused. “You’ll have a hangover tomorrow. We
can’t have you looking wasted on your opening night.”
“Parky,” I leaned closer to her, “when have I
ever looked other than perfect?”
She made a face. “Excuse me while I barf” and
made a gagging motion.
It’s so easy to bait her. I smiled.
She then finished the contents of her martini
and stood up, put on her shoes, grabbed her pouch and pulled the hem of the
short dress down.
“Where are you going?”
“To the rest room.” She glanced at me. “You’re
coming with?”
“Why? What are you proposing?” I grinned
wickedly.
She rolled her eyes. “Where’s the rest room in
this place anyway?”
I gestured to the left and she walked in a
hurry.
I was chuckling to myself, amused for some
reason. And then, I remembered. Park would have to pass by GD’s table before
she can get to the ladies. I abruptly stood to catch up with her.
I catch her attention by holding her elbow. “Hey.”
“Hey” she tilted her head up and looked at me
but didn’t stop walking. “Where are you going?”
“My bladder needs some offloading.” I moved to
her left to shield her view or maybe shield her from them.
Before we parted, I instructed her to wait for
me.
As it turns out, I waited for her. I think she
took a nap inside. There were many amused glances thrown my way from the women
coming out of the rest room and I pretended to be busy with my phone until she
emerged.
“What took you so long?” I frowned.
“You seem to forget how women are” she remarked.
“Didn’t you ever wait for your girlfriend while she went to a public rest
room?”
“No” I answered, “never.” There was never an
opportunity or need. “I have never gone out in public with any,” I added.
She accepted my reason and we walked back to our
table.
“Yo, TOP!” somebody yelled.
I stopped and turned to look and saw Park
Yoochun. He’s with people I don’t recognize. I gave a wave and a nod.
I turned my attention back to Park but she has also
stopped walking and was staring towards the direction of GD and his crew. CL
was either whispering something or nibbling on GD’s ear. I saw a flash of pain
pass by her eyes.
I touched the small of her back and leaned close
to her ear. “Keep walking” I nudged.
I walked. She followed quietly.
She was still silent when we reached our table.
I saw the bottle of Jack waiting for me and I
poured myself some and added some ice cubes.
She was fiddling with her fingers and was
looking unseeingly at the table.
“You’ll get over it, Park.” I said in a steady
voice. “You’ll get over them.”
She looked at me and put on a brave face. “I
know.” She then reached for the Jack and poured some on her empty martini glass
and drank in one go. “Eukkkk” she grimaced. “How can you take this vile stuff?”
I chuckled.
She gets the attention of a passing waiter and
said something to him. The waiter nodded and left.
“I never should have come” she declared.
“Oh? And break poor Seungri’s heart?”
“He’s busy with all the attention everyone is
giving him so I doubt he’d miss my attendance.”
“Is it because of them?” I turned my glance
towards her exes, Ex-boyfriend. Ex-friend. “Don’t let them ruin your night.”
“I’m not” she quickly defended. “I mean, I knew
they’d be here. We were bound to see each other sooner or later. It’s a small
world especially in YG … Maybe that’s why I allowed Bom to talk me into wearing
this freaking dress.” She again pulled at the hem although she was sitting.
“It’s a gesture of defiance,” Park told me. “
and freedom. He used to forbid me wearing clothes that are even remotely
revealing. He didn’t want me going to parties like this. He said that he
doesn’t like other men looking at me. He used to get jealous over the littlest
things. He wanted me prim and proper. What a joke!” Park gave a cynical laugh.
“Can you believe him? All the things that he didn’t want me wearing or doing
…”she paused. “She’s doing them all and he’s okay with it. I let him control my
life! I was such a pathetic loser!” She once again reached for the Jack and
drank some. “I hate this stuff!” she disdainfully said.
When the waiter came back, he was carrying a
bottle of water and a frozen martini.
Park gulped down half the content of the water
bottle. She was reaching for her martini when I made a grab for it and wiggled
a finger at her.
“Hey! That’s mine!” she protested.
“You’ve had enough.”
“Say’s who?”
“Say’s me.” I pointed to myself and drank her
martini. “You can’t get drunk tonight because you’re driving me home.”
“Bwoh?” She sat upright, indignant.
“I already told my driver to go home” I
continued. “You know I can’t drive so you have no choice.” I smiled at her.
She frowned at me in return and folded her arms
in from of her chest. “Ugh! I hate you!” she said with passion.
“Deal with it.” I winked.
She started to rise.
“Going to pee again?”
“I’m going to find Bom” she snapped. “I don’t
feel like staying anymore. Be ready when I get back. I’m going to say goodbye
to the birthday boy.”
I quickly fished out my phone from my pocket and
ordered my driver to drop the car key at the valet and he can go home. ASAP.
******************************
“Move your lazy ass, Choi, or I’ll leave you
here on your front porch.” Park warned.
I willed my feet to take a step and then
another. I know I was leaning heavily against Park as she ushered me inside my
house. I miscalculated and got drunk. I could only blame it on the long working
hours and lack of sleep. I was still aware of everything though. I was just
barely in control of my body.
“We’re almost near.” Park huffed. Funny, I
noticed a flying stiletto as soon as we entered the front door.
“What are you smiling about?” she asked
grumpily.
“Flying stiletto …”
“Be thankful I didn’t accidentally send them flying in your direction.”
“You’re funny” I uttered.
“Yeah? And you’re heavy” she griped. “C’mon.
We’re almost in your room.”
With a renewed vigor, she pulled me ahead with
one arm around my waist and my head almost lolling on her shoulder.
I think I stubbed my toe when she let go of me
and I fell in my bed.
“That hurts” I cried.
“I’m going to bill you for a very expensive
massage. I think you dislocated my shoulders.”
With one eye open, I see Park stretching her arm
muscles and rotating her shoulder blades.
I felt myself smile and curl up like a contented
cat.
“I don’t think I can drive. I’m going to crash
here, okay? “I’ll sleep on the couch.” I heard her say.
I mumbled my reply and was soon fast asleep.
******************************
I woke up before the sun was up when nature
called and decided to look for water. I was on my way back from the kitchen
when I noticed a red stiletto in the middle of the living room.
I gingerly walked towards the sofa and saw Park.
She’s fast asleep, lying on her stomach. Her dress had ridden up and I averted
my gaze. GD was right. She really shouldn’t wear clothes like this. She
attracts too much attention based from what I’ve noticed from the men last
night.
I slowly turned her, hoping she doesn’t wake and
picked her up. I laid her down in the vacant guest room.
**********************************
The next time I awoke, the sun was already shining
brightly and yellow rays scattered across my room. I forgot to close the blinds
yesterday.
After going to the rest room to wash my face, I
looked for some medicine for my aching head. Luckily, there were a couple of
Advils so I took them and proceeded to walk to the kitchen.
I was assaulted with the heavenly smell of fresh
brewed coffee and bacon as soon as I opened my bedroom door.
I found Park in my kitchen setting the plates,
wearing the same dress she had last night but this time, without any hint of
make up on her face. “Good morning” she greeted.
“Morning” I mumbled and sat down.
Park pours me a cup of coffee. “Thank you.”
“Eat up.” She pushed a plate of eggs and another
with bacon towards me. She pours coffee for herself and sat on the chair
opposite mine. I notice that there’s a twinkle of amusement in her eyes.
“You look … cheerful” I muttered.
Her lips positively curled up. “I just
remembered what you said last night.”
I quirked an eyebrow.
“You definitely do not look perfect this
morning.” She was obviously happy about this.
“I’ll let that go since you made me breakfast.”
I decided to humor her.
“I also ordered some hangover soup.” She got up
and placed a steaming bowl in front of me.
“This early?”
“I know a place” she shrugged.
We ate in companionable silence until I asked
her about her apartment hunting yesterday.
Her face drooped and gave a huge sigh. “It was
perfect.”
“Why the sad face then?’
“Because when I got there, it turned out that
the pipes of the one living upstairs burst and flooded the place the night
before. The owner said that it will take at least 2 to 3 weeks before he’ll get
everything replaced with the pipes and the ruined ceiling.” She was stabbing
the yellow of her sunny side up mercilessly. “Aargh! I can’t seem to take any
break from bad luck. It’s either I turn down the nice couple who wants to rent
my place or I’ll live temporarily in a cheap hotel while I wait for the
apartment to get fixed” she lamented.
“Why don’t you stay here?” I blurted out before
I could stop myself.
Park’s eyes went wide. “What … did you say?”
Are you sure Seunghyun? I asked myself. Well, I already said the words. No use taking them back. I look at
Park.
“The guest room is vacant.” I said offhandedly
like it’s no big deal. “You can use it while waiting … it’s only for a few
weeks anyway, right?”
She began
to nod. And then shook her head with a troubled frown.
“I can’t.”
“Why not?” I asked.
“I can’t impose on you.”
“You’re not imposing. I’m offering” I countered.
Still, she shakes her head and looked to be in
deep thought.
“It’ll make your life easier” I pitched. “I mean,
you won’t have to drive from far away just to pick me up and then drive me back
home again. It’ll save you time.”
“I guess you’re right on that one.” She
considered. “But won’t it be awkward? I thought you said you wanted some
privacy and try living alone?”
“It’s just a temporary arrangement. I won’t
mind. It’s not like you’ll stay forever.”
“I don’t know …” She’s stabbing her poor egg
again.
What can I say to make her agree? I asked myself. Wait. Wait a minute. Why does
it sound like I am begging her to say yes? I thought I was being generous. She
should be jumping up on the opportunity to live in comfort in my house and not
to mention have the one in a million chance to be live with the one and only
me. Why am I selling this idea to her so hard? I open my mouth to take my offer
back.
“Are you sure it won’t be any inconvenience?”
Park was looking at me with those round, fragile orbs and I swallowed the words
I was about to say.
“Of course” I replied jovially. “No
inconvenience at all.”
She smiled. “If you’re sure …”
“I’m sure.”
“Okay then. I accept,” she announced as if she’s
doing me a huge favor.
Choi Seunghyun, what did you get
yourself into? My inner
voice laments.
